WELCOME TO THE SCHOOLHOUSE!
PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, AND FIRST GRADE:
Our program for Preschool-1st Grade offers enriching experiences like gardening, art, cooking, woodworking, sensory exploration and open-ended nature play. Students will learn the foundations of literacy and math skills, at their own pace through integrated lessons tied to our emergent learning themes.
HOMESCHOOL ENRICHMENT: GRADES 1-3
On Mondays and Tuesdays, we offer homeschool enrichment classes for students in 1st-3rd grade. On each of these days, students participate in three focused-learning activities, enhanced by take-home activities and assignments to complete before the following week's class. Monday's focus is Math/Science/Engineering while Tuesday's focus is Literacy/Reading/Writing.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Three times per week, students have the opportunity to join a 40 minute after-school club for an additional fee. For 2023/24, the following choices will be offered:
Sunflower Soccer Club - a fun way for students to build muscle strength and coordination while practicing the basics of soccer.
Music Class - students learn the fundamentals of music through story telling, fingerplays, songs and games.
Art Class - students explore various mediums of art, with a focus on the creative process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
We require that all students be up-to-date on their regular childhood immunizations, without exemption. While not required for the 2024/25 school year, we highly recommend both Covid-19 and Flu vaccines.
All students must also be fully independent with toileting and dressing skills and show general readiness to participate productively in a school setting.
